Edward Phelps acquired most of the stock of the Insurers' Advisory Organization headquarters in Toronto in 1974 when the IAO closed its Plan Division. After distributing much of the collection, Phelps offered a set of fire insurance plans for Canada to the University of British Columbia Library in 1982.
